Target's Agents Refuse To Comment On Newcastle Due To Importance Of The Moment – The Newcastle United – The Newcastle United Blog

Newcastle target Joao Pedro faces a late fitness test today for Watford’s trip to Preston North End. The 20-year-old did not travel with the squad on Friday as he underwent a scan on a sore ankle according to The Athletic.
The Brazilian has been the subject of two bids from Newcastle this past week. An opening bid totaling £20m was rejected on Monday. A few days ago, an improved offer of £22m plus £3m in add-ons was knocked back by the Hornets.
Fabrizio Romano reported soon after the second bid was rejected that Newcastle would not give up and negotiations were ongoing.
Newcastle are still in negotiations for João Pedro despite second bid being turned down by Watford tonight. It’s not over, yet – talks ongoing. ???? #NUFC
Today’s bid was worth £22m plus £3m in add-ons but Newcastle will try to push again.

The Athletic reached out to Pedro’s agents about the situation with Newcastle. Their ‘no comment’ left little doubt that Pedro sees the move to Newcastle as a massive opportunity.
“Given the importance of the moment, we would rather not say anything at this point.”
Pedro’s ankle injury doesn’t appear too serious and a decision will be made today on his availability to face Freddie Woodman and Preston. From all appearances, Newcastle are prepared to go in with a third offer with Pedro very keen on the move.

I watched EH’s press conference and he just seems so professional. Loved the fact that he just wouldn’t be drawn on the Grealish thing.

I watched that Schar interview and I agree, it was a good watch. Very level headed. Obviously it would be great for us fans to win something but it would be great for players like Schar also, who have put up with the previous regime, to win a cup in the near future.

I watched a video of a bloke called Eddie Howe this morning. I don’t know how reliable he is or how many followers he has but apparently he has some good sources within the club. He said that there’s nothing imminent on the transfer front. Obviously things are fluid in the transfer window and things can change rapidly as negotiations go on so you never know.
If I hear anything else from him I’ll let you know. 🙂

Who is this Jimiley fella, jeez what a miserable sod he is eh.
I for one am over the moon EH rates Miggy and i think his goals tally will improve now Wor Ed has had a good few months with him, Eds comments suggested he will improve him even more with Miggy contributing more goals hopefully.
He has a attitude second to none, up there with Bruno and Joe L, we need players like him in the team

Lesh, I appreciate the comment but I’m OK with Betty’s joke. I don’t think he’s trying to be unpleasant. There are a few others who try it on though because I dare to have an opinion that doesn’t quite match theirs! Takes all sorts I guess.

Howya WL, hope the Saab is good.
Thing about eddie is that he publicly motivates a player every time he can. He could easily say “we need more from Miggy, but we love him”. Instead he just says “we love Miggy”

Munster,
The Saab is good mate, its 18 years old and has passed its last 2 Mo`s without so much as a referral. Built like tanks they are, or were, shame they don`t make them anymore.
Re Miggy, ive always rated him and at least now he has a coach who can get the very best out of him, unlike the previous knacker.
Another player who i would like to see given a go under Howe is young Lewis, he has cracking potential and Ed could be the chance he needs, injuries apart .
Right, thats me off oot.

@17
I had noticed your smiley in response to Bettys’ joke and did refer to that in my comment.
What I was driving at was why some people feel the need to have targets, butts, for their jokes or banter and if they do, think about why the need.
In fairness, Bettys ain’t the only one who seems to need targets for his humour.
A joke can be funny without a target.

I had a major checkup on my prostate cancer in early September 2022, and it looks like the Hormone treatment I have on has become much less effective.
The treatment options are now few, and I am in the final stages of stage 4 prostate cancer.
I was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer (Gleason count 4+3) in April 2011, and immediately had a prostatectomy, but cancer had already spread.
I have been on Lupron injections, Xtandi medication, and Xjeva injections since then as part of the Hormone treatment.
I recently met with Professor Young Whang at the University Of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, and he reviewed my case from the very beginning and reviewed it with his colleagues too.
The recommendation is that I go onto radiopharmaceutical therapy – which is a fairly new form of treatment introduced about 9 years ago.
My particular treatment is Xofigo, a radioisotope of radium 223 dichloride, and I get it via an infusion into the veins: I started this treatment on November 23rd – and I will have 6 infusions: one infusion every 4 weeks.
My major side effects of these treatments has been major fatigue, tiredness and general weakness.
As I have said before – It is as it is and we have to deal with it.
Neil has continued with the blog and I will contribute – when I can.

It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.
